If you are unable to upload or update your profile picture, please try the following steps:

  1. Uninstall the game.
  2. Reinstall the game.
  3. Check that you have a stable internet connection.
  4. Try uploading your profile picture again.

Profile Picture Updates on the Webapp but Not in the App

In some cases, your new profile picture may update successfully on the Atlas Earth webapp but continue showing the old image in the game. This is typically caused by cached data stored on your device.

To resolve this issue:

  1. Close the Atlas Earth app completely.
  2. Clear the app cache (if available on your device).
  3. Reinstall the app.
  4. Open Atlas Earth and allow your profile to refresh.

Your updated profile picture should now appear in-game.

Android Workaround

If you are experiencing this issue on an Android device, you can try this quick workaround:

  1. Tap your profile picture to start changing it.
  2. Select the Gallery option.
  3. Use the Android Back button at the bottom of your screen to exit the photo update screen.
  4. Tap your profile picture again.
  5. Try uploading your photo.
