A solid blue map is Atlas Earth's way of telling you there's a location issue - but don't worry, it's usually a quick fix!
What the blue map means:
Location disconnect - If your map is blue and completely blank, it means your location settings are not reading correctly
No GPS signal - The game can't determine where you are, so it can't load the virtual land parcels
Temporary issue - This is almost always fixable with a few simple steps
Quick fix steps:
Step 1: Please turn your location settings off and on again
Step 2: Close and restart the Atlas Earth app
Step 3: Wait 30-60 seconds for GPS to reconnect
If you're still seeing blue:
Check device location - You may need to check that your device's location settings are on in addition to confirming that game permissions are enabled
Verify app permissions - Make sure Atlas Earth has permission to access your location
Internet connection - Ensure you have a stable internet connection
Signal strength - Try moving to an area with better cellular or WiFi signal
Device-specific troubleshooting:
iPhone users:
- Go to Settings → Privacy & Security → Location Services
- Make sure Location Services is ON
- Find Atlas Earth and set it to "While Using App" or "Always"
Android users:
- Go to Settings → Apps → Atlas Earth → Permissions
- Make sure Location permission is set to "Allow"
Common causes of blue maps:
- Location services disabled after a phone update
- App permissions reset during installation updates
- Poor GPS signal in your current location
- Battery optimization settings limiting location access
Pro tips:
- Go outside - GPS works better outdoors than inside buildings
- Be patient - Sometimes it takes a minute for location to lock on
- Restart your phone - If all else fails, a device restart often resolves GPS issues
Once your location connects: You should see the familiar Atlas Earth world with green squares (available parcels), your owned land, and diamonds scattered around your area. Welcome back to your virtual real estate empire!
